"Tyke bombs under the sea"

Films: Blue Demon (2004)

Alias: Red Dog

Type: Man-Made

Location: Ocean

Height/Weight: That of average Great Whites.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Stop controlling sharks. God dammit, stop trying to control the sharks! What compels so many to try and get a hold on one of nature's perfect killing machi...oh. Right.

History: The Blue Demon project is a means of putting micro-chips into the brains of several great whites as a means of carrying out government assignments. Unfortunately, there's an inside job going on, and because of it and a power failure, the sharks are freed into where the public reside. A killing spree is already underway, and worse, the shark clan's alpha, Red Dog, is being controlled into carrying out acts of terrorism by the corrupt! Oh soy!

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: All but Red Dog are killed when the chips are overloaded. As for him, he was going to blow up the Golden Gate Bridge before he's led away for the attached bomb to blow him up.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-Terrorist sharks are a terrifying thought, but it's all undone by some unforgivable CGI crap effects. Also, pretty much all of them got taken out at once by a simple overload. So it's nice to know that mankind had an effective failsafe for once.

Trivia: -If you think that weaponized sharks are just fiction, then hold on to your hats. Apparently, the Pentagon has been dreaming of using these predators for military purposes. Though for the time being, emphasis seems to be on using the slightly less-aggressive blue shark instead of great whites.

-On the subject of marine life, sea lions and dolphins have actually been used since the Cold War, but mostly for seeking out potential hazards such as mines.
